Two New Recruits

Bentleigh has continued to look local in its recuriting campiagn for the 2016/2017 season signing two new players for the summer.

Jarrad Dowling and Simon Andrews have both recently signed on as the newest playes for Bentleigh CC as the Club looks to bolster its player stocks during the off season.

Dowling, a former 1st and 2nd XI player at St Kilda, comes across from Hampton where last season he was the clubs capatin/coach. Batting predominantly at number 1, Dowling finished the season scoring 326 runs at an average of 27.2.

Simon Andrews is from New Zealand and played first-class for Northern Districts and is a right-hand bat and right-arm fast-medium bowler. Now living in Melbourne, Andrews made his first-class debut in 2000 and ended up playing with Northern Districts until 2009.

The Club has also confirmed that Englishman Tom Meredith is staying put, despite rumours he was headed down South. Meredith reaffirmed his commitment to the club last week and will be part of the clubs new look 1st XI along with the earlier signed Andrew King.
